Position Summary: The Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for leading the development and execution of the holding company’s long-term strategic vision across its diverse portfolio of business verticals. This individual will work closely with the Group CEO, Board, and business unit leaders to identify growth opportunities, drive synergies, assess investments and M&A opportunities, and ensure strategic alignment across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership Lead the development and refinement of the group’s corporate strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission, vision, and values. Translate high-level strategic goals into actionable initiatives across all subsidiaries and business units. Build a robust strategic planning framework to monitor performance and adjust direction as needed. Portfolio & Vertical Strategy Analyze and optimize the group’s portfolio, advising on strategic fit, growth potential, and resource allocation. Collaborate with vertical leadership to align divisional strategies with group objectives and identify cross-vertical synergies. Act as a thought partner to divisional CEOs on growth strategies, business model innovation, and operational efficiency. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Investment Strategy Identify and evaluate potential M&A, JV, and strategic partnership opportunities. Lead due diligence processes and post-merger integration efforts. Establish investment theses and evaluate ROI across projects, verticals, and geographies. Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis Oversee market research and analysis to anticipate industry trends, emerging threats, and disruptive innovations. Maintain a deep understanding of global, regional, and sector-specific dynamics to inform strategic decisions. Corporate Development & Innovation Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the group. Explore and champion digital transformation initiatives and new business models. Drive strategic projects such as international expansion, sustainability strategies, or digital platform development. Executive Advisory & Governance Prepare and deliver strategic updates, board presentations, and investment cases to executive leadership and stakeholders. Work closely with Finance, Legal, and HR to ensure strategic initiatives are viable, compliant, and supported. Qualifications: Education MBA or equivalent advanced degree in Business, Strategy, Finance, or Economics. Additional certifications (e.g., CFA, PMP) are a plus. Experience 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, private equity, or a similar strategic role. Proven track record of strategy development and execution in diversified or multi-industry group environments. Significant exposure to M&A, corporate development, and cross-functional transformation projects. Skills & Competencies Strong business acumen and financial literacy.
