Job Title: ITSM Consultant – Capacity Management Location: Qatar Job Type: Contract -12 Months Experience Required: 10+ Years Job Purpose The ITSM Consultant – Capacity Management is responsible for assessing and optimizing IT capacity planning processes to ensure they align with current and future business requirements. This role involves analyzing utilization data, forecasting demand, setting thresholds, and ensuring consistent process execution across the organization.Key Responsibilities Assess current processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement. Develop and maintain a comprehensive Capacity Plan reflecting both current and anticipated IT and business needs. Analyze business and IT demand against existing IT capabilities and provide forecasts for future requirements. Review and negotiate OLAs/SLAs while offering input on all capacity-related needs. Monitor service and Configuration Item (CI) utilization patterns to ensure timely availability of capacity. Define and review capacity-related thresholds and ensure proper configuration and testing. Update capacity-related predefined change tasks regularly. Investigate capacity-related incidents in collaboration with the Problem Management team to implement permanent solutions. Report on process performance and effectiveness to senior management. Perform tuning activities to optimize the use of existing IT resource capacity. Ensure consistent and standardized execution of the capacity management process organization-wide. Provide support for managing other ITSM processes as needed.Educational Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. ITIL v3 Foundation Certification ITIL v3 Practitioner Certification ITIL v3 Intermediate Certifications ITIL v4 Foundation Certification Professional Qualifications & Skills Oil and gas experience is mandatory Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in Capacity Management. Proficient with ITSM tools such as BMC Remedy and Helix. Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Quality Assurance and Quality Control practices.
