Job Responsibilities Manage, configure, and support complex systems crucial to computational biology and data management, ensuring reliable performance that aligns with research needs. Oversee the integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-value lab equipment to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and minimize disruptions to research. Support improved data management and security by securely storing, organizing, and making data accessible. Optimize computational biology workflows by managing software updates and addressing technical issues, thereby enhancing QBRI’s computational biology support. Contribute to laboratory operations, supporting current and future research initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Basic understanding of operating systems (Linux, Windows), networking, and IT infrastructure within a lab environment. Familiarity with lab-specific hardware, data acquisition systems including backup systems, LIMS, and troubleshooting for laboratory equipment. 1-2 years of experience in IT, system administration, or engineering, preferably in a biomedical or laboratory setting.
