Training Instructor Avionics

The Training Instructor – Avionics is responsible for preparing and delivering both theoretical and practical training related to Typhoon Type, including specialist and support training. The role involves assessing trainee performance and evaluating the training system's effectiveness. Formal training occurs at the Qatar Typhoon Training Facility (QTTF) and includes mentored training within the operational environment. Additionally, the role encompasses duties within the Squadron Training Cell to develop, maintain, and manage the competencies of Squadron personnel. Key responsibilities include: Preparation and delivery of courses according to the authorized syllabus and training schedule within the Training Management Information System (TMIS). Invigilating and marking examinations and assessments. Continuously assessing, evaluating, and reporting trainee progress. Developing and managing the competencies of Squadron personnel, including ensuring safety protocols, equipment checks, and proper conduct during training. Maintaining discipline among trainees and reporting absences. Supporting QTTF as a Course Coordinator, Subject Lead, Training aircraft and equipment coordinator, and other duties assigned by the Training Instructor Supervisor. Developing personal instructor competencies and continuously improving training quality by identifying and reporting deficiencies. Requirements Possess a Level 3 or higher training qualification (e.g., Level 3 Award, Level 4 Certificate, Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training). Hold a recognized qualification to NVQ3/ONC level or equivalent in a relevant aircraft maintenance discipline. Have recent, in-depth experience (minimum 5 years) supporting maintenance and training activities. Understand the regulatory framework applicable to training systems and activities. Have at least 2 years’ experience delivering aircraft Type training and possess operational knowledge of instructional delivery and mentoring. Be capable of undertaking complex professional work, providing services to the training team, and applying understanding across professional areas.
