Job Description Job Overview: The Quality Inspector applies their conceptual knowledge of inspection and, with guidance from colleagues and leadership, solves straightforward inspection problems. They analyze possible solutions using standard procedures, building knowledge of the company, processes, and customers. The inspector understands key business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems in straightforward situations through technical experience, judgment, and precedents. Requirements include a basic engineering degree or diploma, with at least 8 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including 4 years in offshore projects. Familiarity with onshore fabrication, offshore installation sites, vendor's works, inspections, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning of oil and gas facilities is essential. A deep understanding of QA/QC regulations, data sheets, codes, and standards such as DNV, NACE, etc., is required. Certifications in QC welding, NDT, and painting, such as NACE Level-II or III, are preferred. ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is a plus. Responsibilities Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Determine product conformity to customer specifications through daily surveillances and ITP inspection points in accordance with the Project Quality Plan. Identify non-conformities for rectification and ensure final resolution. Appraise product quality to determine conformity and non-conformity per approved drawings and inspection & test plans; document all inspection results and raise documentation for corrective actions if needed. Coordinate interfaces with Operations, Certifying Authority, Client, Job Sharing personnel, and subcontractors to ensure conformity to project specifications. Proactively prevent problems by interacting with Production, Engineers, and Management personnel. Liaise with customer representatives to ensure product conformity and stage releases as per the Project Quality Plan/ITP. Qualifications Essential Qualifications and Education: High school diploma or relevant degree. At least 5 years of Quality Control or related experience with a degree, or 8+ years with a diploma.
