**Section**: The Diplomatic Club **Department**: Spa & Recreation **Qualification**: : Advanced Diploma/Certification/Diploma in Hospitality/Leisure/Tourism or related **Experience**: 1 - 2 years working experience as a Recreation/Pool Attendant **Skills**: - Job Specific Competencies: _ - _Equipment Handling_ - _Cognitive Reasoning_ - _Acceptable Fitness Standards_ - _Emergency Medical Procedures, CPR, First Aid_ - General Competencies: _ - _Communication &Sociability_ - _Teamwork_ - _Ability to work under Pressure_ - _Flexibility_ - _Orderliness_ - _Action Oriented & Drive for results_ - _Interpersonal Skills_ - _Problem Solving_ - _Judgment _ - _Attendance/Punctuality_ - _Greet & acknowledge all guests according to Club standards and ensure excellent customer experience._ - _Checks/inspects the cleanliness in all the recreation areas where he/she is assigned, ensures safety of the area, and ensures the equipments are clean, orderly and functional._ - _Cleans and assists in maintaining the recreation equipment before and after use._ - _Checks on the stock of members amenities and supplies in the area, to ensure that these are sufficient for the day’s operation._ - _Prior to the start of operation, he/ she should request for items needed for the day, by making store requisition and pick up supplies from the storeroom._ - _Note down all reservations and appointments, ensuring needed information are requested from the guests and recorded._ - _Responds to the member’s inquiries on sports and recreation facilities and services, making sure that the information given is complete, accurate and timely._ - _Be able to provide basic First Aid in the event of any minor accidents, should be fully aware of the procedures in the event of a major accident/emergency._ - _Perform lifeguard duties, prioritizing life and safety of members especially children who are staying in the pool and beach without adult supervision._ - _Gives out towels and locker keys at the pool / health club reception, collects used towels, coordinates with laundry on replenishment of these areas and maintain records as specified in Club procedures._ - _Maintain good relationship with members and colleagues, contributes to team spirit._ - _Deals amicably with people at all levels resolving difficulties in an orderly and business like fashion._ - _Relieve other attendants or recreation staff when necessary._ - _Report any incidents occurring during the operation to the recreation manager._ - _Immediately reports and turn over lost and found item to lost & found office, following required procedures at all times._ - _Attends all members’ complaints immediately and initiates immediate resolution_ - _Should thank each guest upon departure, extend a return invitation and offer a pleasant parting comment; in a friendly and courteous manner_ - _Exhibit personal grooming, appearance and attitude in a manner, which will enhance the guests experience and satisfaction_ - _Must be able to multi-task and prioritize to ensure completion of all tasks in a timely manner._ - _To be aware of all safety and fire drill procedures and attend training conducted by the Training and the Engineering Departments_ - _Report any incidents, accidents or near misses following incident reporting procedure_ - _Assisting Spa Therapist in the clearance and set-up of treatment rooms._ - _Assisting the guest before and after the treatments to the rooms and reception._ - _Able to upsell Spa services and retail items._ - _Perform all work related requests made by the Recreation Supervisor & Manager, which may or might not be directly in the scope of work._
