Job Description & Requirements Published on 23/05/2025 Overview To perform moderately complex aircraft maintenance and repair in accordance with applicable technical orders, standards, regulations, and job guides. Perform O, I, and D Level tasks when applicable. Responsible for: Following the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work. Maintenance and Repair: Inspect, troubleshoot, service, and maintain large and highly complex aircraft systems, components, and related aerospace equipment. Perform highly multifaceted aircraft and component inspections to ensure proper functioning. Interpret inspection findings and determine the adequacy of corrective actions. Inspect and identify major aircraft corrosion for repair and future prevention. Conduct functional tests of components and systems post-repair. Review maintenance data collection reports to identify trends and improve production effectiveness. Provide on-the-job training and coaching to technicians. Act as a technical expert/ advisor for maintenance issues, escalating unresolved problems. Aircraft Launch/Recovery: Operate and maintain arresting gear and associated systems for aircraft carrier operations. Test and maintain launch and recovery equipment. Maintain logs of launches, recoveries, and equipment maintenance. Inspect aircraft before launch and after recovery, signing off on flyable condition. Operate Ground Support Equipment (GSE). Identify maintenance and troubleshooting needs during recovery. Prepare reports and technical documents accurately and timely. Comply with safety, quality, and environmental policies. Follow departmental policies, processes, SOPs, and instructions. Perform other related duties as assigned. #J-18808-Ljbffr
