Job Description & Requirements Published on 23/05/2025 Overview To perform engine maintenance and repair tasks under close supervision, in accordance with applicable standards and regulations. Perform O, I, and D Level tasks when applicable. Follow daily operations related to your job to ensure work continuity. Perform basic tasks related to inspection, troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining engine components. Perform inspection, maintenance, modification, testing, and repairing of jet engines and small gas turbine engines. Assemble and disassemble engine parts according to standard procedures and report malfunctions. Check components for clearances, tolerances, proper installation, and operation. Troubleshoot and maintain assigned components, parts, and cables. Calibrate installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications. Maintain arresting gear and related mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems, primarily for aircraft carrier operations. Activate airfield arresting systems during emergency landings, following procedures. Maintain logs of aircraft launches, recoveries, and equipment maintenance. Identify maintenance and troubleshooting requirements for aircraft parts such as flight control and hydraulics components. Comply with safety, quality, and environmental policies to ensure a safe work environment. Follow departmental policies, procedures, and instructions to ensure controlled and consistent work.
