Minimalist believes in simplicity and uses only the finest materials to produce beautiful and durable items, combining elegant design with excellent quality.We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join us. As Senior Accountant, you will be handling financial and bookkeeping processes, including managing a team of experienced accountants.Duties Book and record financial transactions (receivables & payables), reconcile sub-ledgers and ledgers, prepare financial statements. Devise monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets, projections, and forecasts. Assess and strengthen internal controls, identify and mitigate financial risks, and recommend process improvements. Prepare periodical reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly). Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies. Mentor, train, and supervise accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Contribute to the development and implementation of new or improved accounting systems and procedures. Prepare, support, and coordinate annual external audits of the company’s finances. Responsibilities At least 5, ideally 7+ years of experience in financial management and accounting in an e Commerce business or digital startup; 2+ years of experience with UAE VAT regulations; 2+ years of experience with Quick Books and Quick Books Online A Bachelor’s and/or Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or general Business Administration; At least 1 accounting certification (CA, CPA, ACCA, etc.), ideally also with certification & experience in IFRS; Outstanding communication skills (verbal & written) in English.
