Job Description PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspect deliveries of food, beverages, general, engineering, and operational supplies to ensure they conform to quality specifications and that a purchase order exists for the supply. Ensure that items are received on the expected delivery date. Verify unit prices with the purchase order. Open boxes for inspection. Weigh received items. Stamp and sign invoices. Transfer all perishable items from supplier containers to hotel crates. Send perishables to the washing and cleaning area. Send store items to respective stores and direct purchases to requesting departments. Obtain the Executive Chef's opinion on all kitchen received items. Record all receipts in the system and prepare receiving reports. Maintain and periodically check the accuracy of weighing scales in the receiving area. Maintain a temperature register in the receiving area as required by Municipality. Keep the receiving area clean. For direct purchases, obtain approval from the requesting department. Forward food and beverage invoices to the cost control section. Forward other supplier invoices to accounts payable. Report deviations to the Cost Controller. Inform purchasing of undelivered or rejected items. Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality requirements. Perform other duties as assigned by senior management. ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze problem areas, recommend solutions, and monitor results. Manage time effectively to meet deadlines. TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Work closely with the Executive Chef and Kitchen Stewarding to maintain high hygiene standards at the Receiving Bay. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or senior staff. COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Communicate effectively with business partners, suppliers, and staff. HUMAN RESOURCES RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide effective cross-training to staff. RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to Assistant Store Officer/Cost Control Officer. Coordinates with other hotel managers. OTHERS: Engage in continuous learning through personal development plans. Perform additional duties as assigned. ACCOUNTABILITIES: Represent Dusit's brand and values, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and promote Thai graciousness. CONFIDENTIALITY: Maintain confidentiality of all intellectual property and data, adhering to hotel policies. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Vocational certificate in any discipline. At least 1 year of relevant experience; fresh graduates are welcome. Good communication skills in English. Positive attitude and drive to excel.
