Patient Relation Executive
Description
We are looking for a Patient Relations Executive to join our Patient Relations Team. Job Summary: Responsible for the courteous and efficient reception of patients, records information required for registration in the hospital system, and provides efficient directions to the patients. Accept payment from the patient. Perform clerical duties as assigned, which includes patient appointments, maintaining logs, preparing statistics, ordering and stocking office supplies. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Enlighten the patient about the amount/cost of the consultation, procedure, laboratory test, radiology test, and medication to be administered if needed by the patient. Accept payments and generate invoices for amounts paid by the patient. Be well-versed with insurance cards for deductibles and co-payments if applicable. Inform and explain to the patient what the coverage of the insurance is in an understandable manner. Answer patient queries regarding the clarification of payments they made. Remind patients of their next appointment with the doctor. Greet patients and/or visitors arriving at the outpatient clinics, ascertain their needs, and assist as required. Receive and direct telephone calls or personal inquiries to appropriate personnel. Answer questions and provide information based on knowledge of hospital or departmental organization and regulations. Accept and complete assignments as directed by the supervisor. Register patients in the computer upon arrival with an appointment. Open new charts for new patients after obtaining patient's data and record such information into the computer. Ascertain the financial status of the patient and verify the patient's insurance card with the HMS. Initiate the proper claim form and get the patient's signature on it. Direct patients to the appropriate doctor’s clinic or department. Update patient's contact information in the hospital system. Complete the general consent form for treatment in the hospital for new patients. Request patient's medical record from the Medical Records Department for walk-in patients. Assist in the orientation of new employees as directed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
