Collection and Credit Controller (Emiratization Role)

JOB PURPOSE The person holding this position is responsible to supervise daily operations of collections and credit control section of accounts receivables. He/she must be a highly organized and detail-oriented leader with a solid ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, have sound judgment and strong reasoning skills as well as the ability to learn new processes and information quickly, display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. He/she ensures that all transactions are conducted and recorded in accordance with prescribed policies and procedures and that they are supplied to manager by due deadlines. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise daily operations of collections and credit control section of accounts receivables in a vigilant and timely manner to ensure adherence to Accounts Receivables and Credit Control Policies and Proceduresز Contribute to strategic plans and reviews and implement productivity and quality standards; resolving problems; and identify system improvements in order to meet accounts receivable operational standards at all times. Communicate and investigate with relevant departments in regard to non-payments and negotiate and resolve potential conflicts to ensure that all debts are recovered in a timely and efficient manner. Initiate and then close all periodic closing activities related to Revenues and Receivables to ensure that all closing deadlines are met efficiently. Participate in development of policies and procedures to ensure that all operational concerns related to Accounts Receivables function are addressed at the right time and covered for appropriate functionality of revenues and receivables tasks. Lead and provide guidance to team to fully understand their areas of concerns within entire billing and collection process and in order to improve overall service level of the Accounts Receivable function and develop and utilize the team’s full potential. To familiarize self with all credit control, accounting, quality and other relevant company procedures ensuring that these are strictly adhered to and familiarization with relevant computer packages in order to apply learned models to new situations. Ensure customers pay within their agreed payment terms, chasing payments if necessary, as per the company’s debt collection procedure in order to reduce the delinquent debts. Ensure timely measures are taken for reporting continuous delinquency of clients to customer experience team as well as legal department to ensure debt recovery in time. Prepare and analyze periodic reports on uncollectible to ensure taking prudent measures in a timely manner. Effective and timely updating and reconciliation of customer accounts including payments and credit notes to ensure that account balance remains updated at all times. Ensuring satisfactory credit references are obtained in order to be able to identify whether or not it will be worthwhile accepting credit request which could potentially help avoiding great deal of loss due to defaults. Establish an agreed credit limit based on approved polices in order to minimize the credit exposure. Inform the Manager immediately of all important developments / problems and report on status of Customer accounts on a regular basis. Display a confident and assertive manner at all times when dealing with internal and external customers. Promote an efficient and professional image at all times demonstrated by the highest possible standards of accuracy and attention to detail. Continuous review of all administrative procedures, paperwork, etc. in your area and the suggestion of proposals for improvement. All other reasonable administrative duties related to the collection and credit control function, including filing and archiving. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: Diploma/bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. Credit Management Certification preferrable. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Credit Controller. Fluent in English. Ability to handle multiple projects and interact with all levels of management. Market-focused and results-oriented. Responds well in fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Strong quantitative and qualitative analytic skills, and excellent analytical ability. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Excellent knowledge of advanced MS-Excel. #J-18808-Ljbffr
