Talabat's Regional Logistics team in Dubai seeks a dedicated individual to lead the charge in enhancing the safety and well-being of our delivery heroes. As a Sr. Manager Health & Safety, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting and implementing safety protocols, ensuring compliance, and enhancing the overall health and safety standards for our valued riders. We’re seeking a talented individual to join our Rider Lifecycle team. With an in-depth understanding of the bigger picture, you will be responsible for riders' health, safety & wellbeing across the MENA region and will be a key leader in our innovative tech solutions, pioneering safety initiatives, and active process auditing across all 8 markets. Your goal will be to ensure data-driven improvements in safety practices on and off the road, creating a healthy environment for Talabat riders. This role isn't just about maintaining safety; it's about driving positive change and championing rider welfare at every step. What’s On Your Plate? Own and lead the data strategy for rider health and safety, leveraging insights to design and optimize processes that enhance speed, efficiency, and rider well-being. Lead project management efforts to develop and execute region-specific action plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and market-specific needs, while coordinating with global, regional, and local stakeholders. Leverage industry-leading technologies and processes—such as telematics, accident validation, and Incident Management Systems (IMS)—by auditing BAU operations, identifying inefficiencies, and driving safety improvements. Develop, implement, and maintain safety SOPs to ensure consistency across all markets, regularly reviewing and updating them to align with evolving safety standards and operational needs. Serve as an advocate for rider safety by staying up-to-date with local safety regulations and collaborating with regulators and the PR team to promote safety improvements both on and off the road. Demonstrate strategic thinking and execution in safety initiatives like Road Safety Weeks, Rider Insurance processes, social media safety campaigns, and adopting innovative tech solutions. Use data insights to identify safety risks, measure impact, and support informed decision-making. Address and investigate safety concerns raised by vendors/riders and customers, implementing corrective actions to mitigate dangers. What Did We Order? 5-6 years of experience in health & safety, ideally within logistics Data-driven mindset, proficiency in analyzing data, deriving insights, and presenting findings clearly. Experience with analytical tools like SQL, Excel, Gsheets, Tableau, Looker, or similar is preferred. Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners. Experience in developing and implementing safety protocols. A proactive approach to risk assessment and mitigation. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and embracing change as an opportunity. Fluent in English; Arabic and Urdu are a plus.
