Heavy Machine Technician

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on forklifts (electric, diesel, propane-powered). Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and equipment. Replace or repair defective parts such as brakes, motors, transmissions, and tires. Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts inventory. Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to schedule repairs minimizing downtime. Ensure all equipment complies with safety regulations and company standards. Order and manage parts inventory to ensure timely repairs. Conduct safety checks and assist in training operators on proper forklift use and maintenance. Qualifications: Proven experience as a forklift technician or mechanic. Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic diagnostic skills. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Familiarity with different types of forklifts (e.g., stand-up, sit-down, pallet jacks). Valid forklift operator certification is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in heavy equipment repair preferred. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
