Carpenter Supervisor

Head Quarter is in vacancy for a Joinery Supervisor position that supervises laborers and performs a variety of carpentry/joinery duties. Areas of knowledge and experience would include carpentry, upholstery, furniture repair, knowledge of color matching and lacquer finishes, and preventative maintenance. Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following: Supervises/assigns work to laborers and performs carpentry activities. Performs finish carpentry work such as sanding, painting, varnishing, etc. Operates a variety of woodworking equipment. Possesses a desire to produce products to strict specifications. Reads and interprets construction drawings and specifications to determine equipment and materials required and methods of installation to complete the project. Understanding of Auto CAD. Joinery Supervisor Requirements: Solid wood work Supervisor - Able to operate machines. Assembly Supervisor - Fixing furniture. Paint Supervisor - Knowledge of paints. Final assembly & shipping area. Upholstery Supervisor. EDUCATION: NONE EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three to four years of carpentry experience. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Vocational or technical school training in carpentry or a related field will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
