Carpenter

As a Carpenter, you are responsible for all Carpentry & Joinery installations, Carpet & Curtain maintenance, and Wallpaper & painting finishes in the hotel building. Your role requires adherence to policies and procedures, ensuring the smooth functioning of the Engineering Department, and will include key responsibilities such as: Responsibilities and Duties: Regularly monitor the operation of Emergency Exit doors.Regularly monitor and carry out guest rooms maintenance requests.Regular inspection of automatic door closers and locks of doors.Carry out planned preventative maintenance to all guest room entrance door locks.Regularly monitor required materials and spare parts for carpentry repairs and report any required materials to the supervisor to place orders.Carry out daily checklists as prepared by the supervisor.Accomplish all assigned work orders daily and report any pending to the supervisor.Assist other technical staff whenever assistance is required.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Additional Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure integrity and confidentiality of information at all times.Perform any additional tasks and duties outside of your scope of work as deemed necessary by your Immediate Manager or the Management.Changes in business may require alterations to this Job Description.Care of Equipment: Ensure maintenance and careful handling of equipment used.Timely report any malfunction or maintenance deficiency to the appropriate area.Training and Employee’s Activities: Attend scheduled trainings.Participate actively in company-initiated employee activities.Grooming and Hygiene: Adhere to the specified hygiene and personal appearance standards of the hotel and surrounding area.Follow the set procedures for attendance and timekeeping.Company Policies and Procedures: Adhere to the provisions outlined in the Employee’s Handbook, Disciplinary Code, and Rules & Regulations.Environmental Awareness: Reduce waste of supplies and materials by re-using or selling.Recycle when possible.Conserve water and energy by adhering to the environmental/energy conservation checklist appropriate for the surrounding area.Maintain clean surroundings.Participate in activities concerning the protection of the environment.Ensure that the standards required by Law and by Management are maintained at all times in all areas of operations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
