The Swiss International Scientific School in Dubai is an IB Continuum World School authorised to offer and teach the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), IB Diploma Programme (DP), and the IB Career-related Programme (CP). We are also a member of the Swiss Group of Schools, CIS, and ECIS. SISD offers three different streams with an emphasis on offering learners the chance to develop international-mindedness, to broaden their skills and capabilities, and to acquire the information needed to access other cultures:- IB Bilingual English/French (with Arabic)
- IB Bilingual English/German (with Arabic)
- IB with additional languages (French or German with Arabic) and personalised STEAM programme from PreKG-Grade 5.
Job Description
The role of a Spanish/French Language Acquisition Teacher is to deliver excellent teaching and learning in the context of the IB MYP Programme (grades 6 to 10) and IB DP Programme (grades 11 and 12). In addition to teaching, the Spanish/French Language Acquisition Teacher will share in the wider pastoral and co-curricular life of the school. This will include, inter alia, participating in local and international school trips, leading at least one extra-curricular activity per week, and providing Boarding House support in terms of supporting a group of students as a Tutor at least once a week, if required. Occasional participation in outreach or promotional activities may be required, but every effort will be made to ensure that this request is reasonable and shared equitably amongst all teaching staff.
