Job Description Successful candidates will assist the teachers with a wide range of tasks on a regular basis. Skills Qualifications and requirements for the role:- Higher Secondary Education degree (grade 12) or bachelor degree.
- Good level of general education especially in Mathematics and English and a previous experience in a similar position or working with children.
- Good communicator with an excellent command of English. Computer-literate and can multitask.
- As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you play a crucial role in supporting students' educational experiences, particularly those with additional needs. Here are key skills and qualifications essential for this role:
- Understanding of Educational Needs : Knowledge of various learning difficulties and disabilities, and how to support students with diverse needs.
- Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents.
- Patience and Empathy : Ability to remain patient and understanding when working with students who may require extra help or face challenges.
- Adaptability : Flexibility to adjust teaching strategies and approaches based on individual student needs and learning styles.
- Team Collaboration : Ability to work effectively as part of a team with teachers and other support staff to provide comprehensive support for students.
- Organization Skills : Strong organizational abilities to manage resources, assist with lesson plans, and track student progress.
- Behavior Management : Skills in implementing strategies to manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning environment.
- Technical Proficiency : Familiarity with educational technology and tools that can aid in learning and support students’ educational activities.
- Observation and Reporting : Ability to observe students' progress and behavior, providing feedback and insights to teachers for tailored support.
- Instructional Support : Skills in providing one-on-one or small group instruction to reinforce learning and help students grasp difficult concepts.
- Cultural Sensitivity : Awareness and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of students, promoting inclusivity and respect.
