Engineer - Health, Safety, and Environment - Kizad - Abu Dhabi
Position: Health, Safety, and Environment - Engineer Key Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure effective risk management strategies are in place.
- Lead and coordinate safety training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health, safety, and environmental initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other stakeholders on health, safety, and environmental matters.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, reports, and records related to health, safety, and environmental performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in a health, safety, and environment management role, preferably in Foundry Division / Steel.
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
