Job Description

We are constantly growing and are currently looking for a Mechanical QC Engineer to join a top qualified and knowledgeable quality controls team in one of our projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE. What you will need to do:

Assist in the preparation of quality documentation, including the Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and in the review of construction documents for compliance with project quality requirements related to Mechanical works.

Monitor all phases and processes required for the effective completion of all related Mechanical works, particularly issues of design, procurement, construction, and final handover.

Manage the implementation of Method Statements and Inspection & Test Plans related to Mechanical works, ensuring all necessary records are generated in a timely manner.

Oversee the inspection and testing of Mechanical works, including the monitoring of QC Inspectors.

Monitor the closeout of punch lists established for incomplete Mechanical works.

Ensure all measurement & testing instruments for Mechanical works are functional and calibrated.

Witness, review, and approve welder qualifications and WPS, PQR qualifications.

Liaise and coordinate with 3rd Party Testing/Inspection Companies as required.

Conduct statistical analysis and evaluation of test data related to Mechanical works.

Prepare, file, and maintain test/inspection records and other quality records generated related to Mechanical works.

Assist construction personnel in identifying and resolving problems and potential/non-conformances related to Mechanical works.

Advise the QC Manager of non-conformance occurrences, raise Non-conformance Reports when necessary, and monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions.

Assist the QC Manager in undertaking periodic audits, including those of subcontractors and suppliers, with a focus on technical compliance audits.

Witness all NDT and Mechanical testing (including hydro testing, pneumatic testing, etc.) specified.

Attend and witness all Client verification of work on site, coordinating closeout of outstanding issues related to Civil works.

Assist in the preparation of final documentation for certification.

Support systems commissioning as required.

Manage site interface with implementation contractor QC personnel and client QC personnel.

Be knowledgeable in codes and standards, ADNOC specifications, SHELL DEP, and familiar with site fabrication, construction, and erection activities.

What you will need to have:

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Min. 8 years of experience (ADNOC experience will be an advantage).

Full EPC experience in O&G projects.

Very Good Command of English Language.

ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CSWIP 3.1 / ASNT L2 - PT, MT.

Well versed in the inspection and certification of Pipeline, Piping, Structures, Process equipment, packaged units, NDT methods, Welding activities, Test Package Management, and Mechanical Completion in oil and gas EPCM projects.

You are someone who:

Has good communication skills.

Is able to work both independently, exercising professional judgment and coordination skills.

Has excellent organizational skills.
