Posted Monday, January 29, 2024 at 5:00 AMObjective / PurposeThe primary purpose of this role is to maintain records of and conduct training and performance audits of the Production Department while performing duties of the Production Operator to ensure the department meets the operational standards of the Company.Areas of Responsibility / TasksPerformance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.Training:Develop and update new and current Production Department training programs to stay compliant with all Company standards.Ensure the development and growth of all Production Associates is continued utilizing the training matrix; report all areas of deficiency to the Production Supervisor.Maintain appropriate training records for each associate.Conduct training and re-training as required by the Production Supervisor, the Company, and OSHA.Other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.Quality Compliance:Ensure all ISO documentation is current and adhered to.Partner with the Quality Department for any necessary revisions and creation of additional process documents.Conduct performance audits to validate training completion to aid in compensation adjustment review.Communication:Keep the Production Supervisor abreast of significant issues or developments that impact quality, safety, and operations.Prepare and present statistical information to the management team (including but not limited to Near-Miss, Audit Nonconformance, Elements of Risk, etc.)Partner daily with the Production Supervisor to define objectives and priorities.Minimum Qualifications / Education / CertificationsEducation: High school diploma or three years related experience - preferred.Minimum of 3 years forklift experience - required.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (with emphasis on Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint) and a capability to learn basic systems.Familiarity with process mapping and basic quality processes preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrate ability to lead by example by consistently meeting department expectations.Ability to manage time, organize, and set priorities.Ability to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment.Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.Work Environment / ConditionsThe work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience, and therefore must be adaptable to.Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office.The work environment varies from interior to exterior work and on occasion be exposed to outside weather conditions.The incumbent may be exposed to dust and fumes.Locations include silos, railcars, and bulk tankers.Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.Physical Requirements / Demands:The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions & physical demands of this role.While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to communicate verbally, read, and comprehend information, type on a consistent and daily basis.While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to travel by foot, forklift, golf cart, or other means of transportation which require sitting, waiting, and standing for long and short periods of time.On a rare occasion, the duties may include the necessity to ascend and descend ladders and stairs.On occasion, the duties may require bending, squatting, crawling, and reaching, and working in heights above 75 feet from ground level.Hand movements include repetitive motions, grasping, holding, and finger dexterity.The incumbent must be able to frequently lift 0-30 lbs. and on occasion lift 30-85 lbs.All injuries regardless of severity must be reported to your Supervisor/HR immediately.This job description is not an exhaustive list of areas of responsibility or tasks that an incumbent in this position may be asked to perform.
