Role- Engineer PLC & SCADA Job Purpose: Setup, program, test, implement and support computer control systems used for production automation and industrial equipment such as Programmable Logic Controls (PLC), Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisitions (SCADA), and System packages, namely Compressor Control Corporation (CCC), Woodward Governor System, Flow Computers, Tank Gauging Systems (TGS), and Process Monitoring Camera Systems for all Refining operating facilities and systems Key Result Areas:1. Provision of 24/7 support services and ensure availability and reliability of ICS includingthe PLC/SCADA and System packages to maintain continuous system functionality withoutinterruption for the benefit of end users under the supervision of Senior Engineer PLC &SCADA.2. Support Sr. engineer in advising Company Management on gap identification, systemenhancement and technology selection associated with above mentioned ICS.3. Execute approved projects related to ICS and OT and ensure timely completions of theprojects without compromising cost, quality, and HSE.4. Ensure updates of all PCED documents published on the Document Management System(DMS).5. Provide support in engineering incident investigations to propose/implementrecommendations for solving identified problems. Job Context:• The position of Engineer PLC & SCADA is involved in involved in working independently,under minimal supervision of Engineer PLC & SCADA on managing approved projects andproviding support services on 24x7 basis, related to ICS and OT of the above-mentionedsystems.• The job holder needs to use latest software tools/applications such as Ladder logic, VisualBasic, PI Process book, PI-Data Link, PI-Vision, Remote terminal Unit (RTU), Tank InventorySystem and using PLC to control Gas turbines, Motors, Compressor Controls Corporation(CCC) anti surge controller, Woodward Governor, and Pressure swing adsorption (PSA) tofulfil job requirements.• Explore and evaluate potential implementation of new/state of the art technologies anddigitalization in the field of OT digitalization based on business needs and strategicroadmap Knowledge Skills and Experience:• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, ControlEngineering, Instrumentation, Robotics, Electronics or equivalent.• Minimum 7 years of experience in the oil refining, oil and gas production or petrochemicalindustries.• Experience in handling multiple projects and providing engineering support in anoperating refinery environment.• A thorough knowledge of PLC Ladder logic, visual basic, RTU engineering, Radio/wirelesscommunication and industrial networks and protocols.• A thorough knowledge of International Standards i.e. ISO, ISA, IEC, NIST, etc. and bestpractices related to cyber security.• Excellent analytical and good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral andwritten.• Must have the ability to write clear and concise reports, letters, proposals, memoranda andpresentationsWith over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide.
