PURPOSE OF THE JOB: We are looking for a skilled Traffic Engineer/Road Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in traffic engineering road design and transportation planning. As a Traffic Engineer/Road Engineer you will play a crucial role in designing, analyzing, and implementing transportation projects. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Conducting traffic impact studies, traffic flow analyses, and capacity assessments for transportation projects.
  2. Designing and developing roadways, intersections, roundabouts, and traffic control devices in compliance with regulatory standards and engineering best practices.
  3. Performing geometric design, pavement design, and drainage design for road infrastructure projects.
  4. Conducting traffic simulations, modeling, and optimization studies using software tools (e.g. VISSIM, Synchro).
  5. Collaborating with architects, urban planners, civil engineers, and government agencies to integrate transportation considerations into urban development projects.
  6. Developing transportation plans, strategies, and policies to improve traffic safety, mobility, and accessibility.
  7. Conducting field surveys, data collection, and traffic counts to support engineering analyses and design decisions.
  8. Preparing technical reports, design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
  9. Participating in public meetings, stakeholder consultations, and regulatory reviews related to transportation planning and design.
REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Candidate must be Immediately available and based in UAE.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related field.
  3. Professional licensure (e.g. PE) is preferred.
  4. 5-10 years of experience as a Traffic Engineer, Road Engineer, or related role preferably in a design consultancy or engineering firm.
  5. Strong knowledge of transportation engineering principles, traffic control devices, and roadway design standards (e.g. AASHTO, MUTCD).
  6. Experience with traffic analysis software (e.g. VISSIM, Synchro, HCS) and GIS tools.
  7. Familiarity with transportation planning concepts, traffic impact assessments, and environmental considerations.
  8. Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
  9. Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  10. Knowledge of sustainable transportation practices, Complete Streets design, and Vision Zero initiatives is desirable.
