Job Description:Mechanical Inspector (Infrastructure & Utility Buildings Operation & Maintenance)Abu Dhabi, UAEParsons' engineering and construction management staff members create innovative, safe, and sustainable infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and Kuwait. We deliver rail, transit, road, and highway transportation; water conveyance and wastewater treatment; oil and gas; land development; public; and aviation infrastructure to our customers and communities. Parsons creates interconnected communities and world-class infrastructure.Duties and Responsibilities: The Mechanical Inspector is a full-time position reporting to the O&M and Resident Engineer and is responsible for conducting field inspections, tests, evaluations, verifications, and documentation of the O&M Contractor's inspections, preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance within all mechanical systems including the potable water network and filling station, the irrigation network and pumping station, the sewer network and sewage pumping station, the storm water network and pumping station, and the diesel generators.Supports the electrical, civil and landscape Inspectors with all mechanical related support inspection activities.Oversees the daily routine operations and maintenance works by the O&M Contractors at site and identifies any issues or required works.Prepares inspection reports and site records as required within the Contract or as required by the Client or PMC staff.Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.Qualifications:Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University.Min 5 years of experience in infrastructure mechanical/MEP works including operation and maintenance. Experience in the UAE is preferred.Experience related to roads/ pumping and irrigation stations and scada systemsKnowledge and experience in using computer software, Computerized Maintenance Management Software such as Maximo 7, FSI Concept Evolution etc.Strong analytic capabilities and the ability to work independently.Good oral and written communication skills.Ability to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff.Commitment to safe work practicesValid UAE Driving License is a plus.Minimum Clearance Required to Start:Not Applicable/NoneParsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
