Job SummaryTo support the Business in managing credit risk by using appropriate judgement and commercial credit experience to assess credit worthiness of a customer. Ensure that overall quality of accounts are within acceptable risk parameters and remain within Bank's lending policies and guidelines.Key AccountabilitiesLead the process of CREDIT FACILITY REVIEW (CFR) with a high-quality analysis of credit applications for International, Local Corporate & SME, Trade Financing and High Net worth (HNWI) / VIP clients. Adequately structure facilities adhering to defined risk levels and make sensible recommendations with practical and acceptable risk mitigating conditions to the approving authorities under the delegated credit authority.To have a quality & effective one-to-one pre-deal discussions with the Business and Credit Team and reach an acceptable proposition which addresses the concerns of relevant stakeholders.The discussion should be reflective in the credit applications or agreed upon through subsequent emails. Any unresolved issues are to be documented for record by email.Accurate spreading of financials and analysis in the MRA and carry out appropriate re-classifications wherever necessary and ensure that MRA grading of account is appropriately done and reflects the underlying risk.Assist Business in portfolio quality management, tracking and monitoring covenants and escalating overdue items for remedial.Understand, implement and communicate the Bank's and QCB's policies, procedures etc.Promote a risk management culture and behaviour that provides adequate analysis, sound judgment, flexibility and an ideal balance of risks and rewards.Provide necessary assistance in preparation of various MIS, industry/sector reviews as required from time to time by senior management.Assist the Business in preparation of periodic and adhoc credit audits carried-out by Internal Audit and QCB.Any other relevant tasks assigned by the Head of Credit Analytics from time to time.SkillsRequired Experience:At least 5 years of experience in the capacity of a Credit Analyst in Corporate/Institutional/Commercial.Experience in Contracting and Real Estate is highly preferred. GCC experience is a definiteadvantage.Knowledge and Skills:Knowledge of basic and advanced Lending products and facility structuringExcellent communication skills both written and verbal (English/Arabic)Negotiation skillsRelationship building skillsTeam management capabilitiesKnowledge of external markets, industry trends and current economic environment both locally and internationallyCompetenciesAdaptability/FlexibilityCreativity/InnovationDecision Making/JudgmentDependabilityInitiativeIntegrity/EthicsProblem Solving/AnalysisSkillsAbility to interact with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to work under pressureAccuracy and attention to detailEducationBachelor's degree in Business with preferably a specialization in Finance or Accounting
