Candidates should have an outstanding recordof teaching experience, and possess the qualifications necessary tobe successful in the role of Part Time English Instructor at theCollege of the North Atlantic - Qatar. He/She will may beresponsible for: • Develop course outlines, syllabi,lesson plans, instructional materials and assessments to create anoptimum learning environment in alignment with evolvingprofessional scopes of practice and industry requirements.• Delivering instruction to maximize student developmentand retention, employing a variety of teaching and developmentstrategies to meet diverse student needs. • Demonstrate acommand of educational best practices within the discipline byaligning learning assignments within practical industry-relevantcontexts. • Maintain accurate records of student progressand attendance and provide prompt feedback, recording grades andattendance within established deadlines. • Learn, use andrecommend educational technologies and resources to enhancelearning experiences for students. Prepare high quality learningsupport materials using the College's LMS (D2L) to engagelearners (if and when needed); Qualifications •Bachelors' degree in a relevant field from a preferrededucational institution. • Certificate, Diploma (e.g.Post-secondary Education, Adult Education or Vocational Education).e.g., CELTA, Delta, TESL, TESOL. • 3+ years teachingexperience in an educational institution where students'first language is not English. • Experience in curriculumdevelopment and student assessment. • Demonstratedteamwork and organizational skills. Other Required Skills• Commitment to applied and experiential learning as apedagogy and a key feature of the College's mandate.• Ability to design, develop, deliver, and evaluateauthentic learning experiences and assessments incorporatingcontemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning incontext and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudesidentified in program outcomes. • Digital literacy anddemonstrated fluency in technology systems, and an ability to modeland facilitate use of current and emerging digital tools to supportresearch and learning. • Demonstrated ability to developtechnology-enriched learning environments that enable students tobe active participants in their ownlearning.
