Job Overview:

To lead and oversee the organization's cybersecurity efforts by identifying, managing, and mitigating risks, implementing robust security policies and technologies, and ensuring the organization's information systems and data remain secure against evolving cyber threats while aligning with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with organizational objectives and regulatory standards.
  2. Conduct risk assessments, maintain a risk register, and address critical cybersecurity risks through mitigation strategies.
  3. Lead the development and execution of an Incident Response Plan (IRP) and manage responses to cybersecurity incidents to ensure swift recovery.
  4. Oversee Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, manage security tools, and ensure effective threat detection and resolution.
  5. Ensure compliance with standards like ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and conduct regular audits to maintain regulatory adherence.
  6. Build, mentor, and manage a cybersecurity team while promoting organization-wide security awareness through training initiatives.
  7. Evaluate third-party vendors' cybersecurity measures and ensure contracts and SLAs meet security requirements.
  8. Monitor emerging threats, perform vulnerability assessments, and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
  9. Plan and manage the cybersecurity budget, securing resources to meet evolving security needs effectively.
  10. Communicate cybersecurity risks, incidents, and posture to senior management, acting as the liaison between IT and business leadership.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Certificates:

Relevant professional certifications such as: CISSP, CISM, CEH, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer, GIAC Certifications (e.g., GSEC, GCIH) and CompTIA Security+ (basic requirement).

Experience:

5-10 years of experience in cybersecurity. Hands-on experience with security technologies such as firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management tools.

Other qualifications:

  1. Proven track record in developing and implementing security strategies, policies, and frameworks.
  2. Experience in incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  3. Familiarity with industry regulations and frameworks such as GDPR, PCI DSS, HIPAA, NIST, or ISO 27001.
  4. Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge in Arabic, both written and verbal is preferred.
