Roles and Responsibilities Conversant with the company's HSSE Policies and commitments for compliance, pollution prevention and continual improvement of HSSE performance. Provide support and guidance in the development and implementation of HSE MS and identifying opportunities for enhancement. Provide expert advice on HSE issues related to the projects' day-to-day operations. Monitor and report on the Main Contractors' HSE performance. Support HSE audits and studies as required. Advise on incident/accident prevention measures. Assist the Contractor in developing and implementing HSE improvements. Participate in the production of the Project Health, Safety and Environmental risk registers. Ensure that the results of inspections, audits, and actions identified from accident investigations are followed up to ensure their timely closure. Qualifications Minimum BSc in Engineering or HSSE. Demonstrated relevant experience and qualification in the onshore oil and gas industry. Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry. Minimum of 5 years proven capability in an EPC company. Previous experience of site-based project work involving field engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, or maintenance would be an advantage. Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred. Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage. Desired Candidate Profile Standards and Compliance Requirements: Knowledge of safety standards and compliance requirements. Risk Assessment: Ability to identify potential hazards and assess risks in the workplace, implementing strategies to mitigate them. Training and Education: Skills in developing and delivering safety training programs for employees to promote a culture of safety. Incident Investigation: Proficiency in investigating accidents and incidents, determining root causes, and recommending corrective actions. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings and interacting with all levels of staff. Attention to Detail: Keen observation skills to identify unsafe conditions and practices. Emergency Preparedness: Knowledge of emergency response procedures and the ability to create emergency plans. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze safety data and trends to improve safety performance. Collaboration: Working effectively with cross-functional teams to promote safety initiatives and compliance. Record Keeping: Proficiency in maintaining safety records, reports, and documentation. Areas of Expertise Safety Audits: Conducting regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards. Environmental Safety: Understanding of environmental regulations and practices related to workplace safety. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Knowledge of PPE requirements and ensuring proper use among employees. Health and Wellness: Promoting health and wellness programs to enhance employee safety and well-being. Safety Culture Development: Implementing initiatives to foster a strong safety culture within the organization.
