Job ResponsibilitiesOversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food quality.Manage kitchen staff schedules, delegating tasks to maximize productivity.Ensure all dishes meet the restaurant's standards for taste, presentation, and portion size.Conduct regular taste tests and quality checks on dishes.Implement and maintain food safety and sanitation protocols.Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.Promote professional development and continuous learning among the team.Monitor food cost and wastage, implementing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.Communicate effectively with the kitchen team, ensuring clarity of instructions and expectations.Experiment with new techniques and ingredients to keep the menu exciting and contemporary.Strive to create memorable dining experiences that encourage repeat visits and positive reviews.Engage with guests to gather feedback and ensure their dining experience exceeds expectations.Maintain inventory and manage food cost, ensuring efficient use of resources.Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.Implement and enforce health and safety standards in the kitchen.Stay updated with culinary trends and incorporate innovative ideas into the menu.Collaborate with management to plan and execute special events and promotions.Plan menu changes/development and review menu engineering quarterly and suggest/plan necessary changes as required.Create specialty dishes and unique presentations to enhance the dining experience.
