Project Engineer - Medical Equipment and Turnkey

The Project Engineer - Medical Equipment and Turnkey is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of medical equipment projects, including turnkey solutions, from tendering and costing to installation and handover. The role involves coordinating with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project completion within agreed timelines and budget while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Job Responsibilities
Ensure timely collection of the Projects Tender Documents and arrange for the necessary bid requirements.
Contact all the vendors to ensure best pricing and create a comparison sheet.
Arrange for the project costing, financial and technical bid as per the tender timeline.
Coordinate with the team to close and submit the tender.
Prepare and review the BOQ.
Define specifications & manufacturers for the BOQ.
Prepare material and drawings for MEP & Medical Gas projects.
Arrange for the handing over documentation for the projects.
Coordinate with finance to ensure invoice submission.
Ensure efficient implementation within agreed timelines - site visit and inspection.
Conduct meetings with concerned teams for smooth execution of the ongoing project and tenders.
Arrange meetings with the vendors, contractors, and subcontractors for technical meetings for ongoing project implementation and procurement.
Review CAD drawings and ensure they are as per project specifications and check the site MEP provisions.
Provide the pre-installation requirements like MEP, HVAC & Medical Gas.
Track the invoice and payment in various stages of the project.
Propose the medical equipment, medical furniture, and hospital furniture as per the client budget and requirement.
Send RFQ to various local and international suppliers to get the updated cost.
Liase with OH Service Engineer team and other supplier technical engineers for all pre-sales support and technical demos.
Coordinate with OPD, TSG, and other outsourced technical engineer teams for effective execution of projects.
Qualification and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project engineering, particularly in medical equipment and turnkey projects.
Strong knowledge of medical equipment, MEP, HVAC, and medical gas systems in healthcare settings.
Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Preferred: Arabic speaker.
