Job PurposeResponsible for managing all aspects of financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving strategic financial decisions to support SGG growth.Functional Accountabilities• Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and taxes.• Develop and implement robust financial policies and procedures that comply with regulatory standards.• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports that comply with applicable legal requirements and accounting policies.• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.• Ensure the integrity of financial information by establishing and maintaining internal controls.• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.• Coordinate and lead the annual audit process with external auditors.• Analyze financial data and market trends to support strategic decision-making and forecast financial performance.• Work closely with other department heads to monitor and control the financial performance of the company.• Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting, including capital investment planning and management.• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and changes in regulations that may impact the financial landscape of the company.Qualifications, Experience and SkillsEducationBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree or CPA strongly preferred.Experience & Skills• + 12 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or directorial role.• Proven experience in leading and managing comprehensive accounting teams.• Strong understanding of GAAP and other applicable regulatory rules, standards, and guidelines.• Proficient in accounting software and systems, with a strong emphasis on financial reporting tools.• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.• Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of articulating financial information to various stakeholders.• Strategic thinker with an ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
