Job DescriptionThe role is to lead and be responsible forensuring that all aspects of Engineering Operations support and FutureEngineering Support System (FESS) activities are proactively supported to meetcustomer and business drivers / priorities.Core ActivityThe role is responsible forensuring that all aspects of Engineering Operations support to the FlightOperations Manager and BAE/BSL Maintenance Managers in providing anextraordinary level of technical liaison and support to meet customer andbusiness drivers / priorities. Included within the scope of this role are:The delivery of an efficient EngineeringOperations support function tailored to the requirements of the QEAF customer.Acting as the key interface between theTyphoon squadrons and the QEAF customer.Ensuring that continued airworthinessand maintenance activities on Typhoon aircraft have been carried out iaw BAESystems approved data and the CAMSS Maintenance Organization Exposition.Briefing the QEAF Operations Officer ordeputy to discuss current aircraft serviceability states and configurations.Providing engineeringsolutions/explanations to multiple stakeholder technical questions.Additionally the role willensure integration between the Customer facing organization, Operations,Engineering and the other influencing Functions to ensure requirements areadequately addressed and governance is maintained.Therole holder mayberequiredto carry out additional or alternative tasks from time to time, subject toholding the appropriate qualifications.Key AccountabilitiesTo work for the Flight OperationsManager and Maintenance Managers in support to the Senior Typhoon InstructorPilot and respective Customer interfaces to develop solutions and plans,allowing them to focus on their operational activities.Respond to requests from internal andexternal customers for advice and pro-actively inform senior managementdecision-making to ensure due consideration is given to the businessimplications of options presented.Keep up to date in areas of expertisein order that the Customer and business is aware of and able to take account oradvantage of new developments.Develop and maintain links within theinterfacing communities through effective stakeholder engagement.Ensure compliance with statutory,regulatory and corporate requirements and external standards within areas ofspecialism and keep abreast of changes which may impact the business.Firstline support to the users.RequirementsHigher National Diploma / Certificate(or equivalent) in a relevant applicable subject is desirable.Practical experience in an Operationalenvironment is essential.Engineering Operations experience -military preferred.Fast jet experience with exposure to electronicEngineering Support Systems for Typhoon or a comparable system from anotherplatform.In-service support knowledgespecifically around Continuing Airworthiness within a maintenance organization.The Eng Ops Ctrl will be suitable to becleared for access to sensitive (secret) information.Substantial knowledge of thetheory, best practice and practical application of FESS activities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
