We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Engineer specializing in the steel and metal industries to join our team. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for promoting and selling our company's steel and metal products to clients within the designated market segment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in steel and metal products, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Duties & Responsibilities, but are not limited to:

Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share within the steel and metal industries.Identify and prospect potential clients, including contractors, fabricators, manufacturers, and construction companies, to generate new business opportunities.Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients through regular communication, product presentations, and technical demonstrations.Understand client requirements and specifications to recommend suitable steel and metal products and solutions that meet their needs.Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and contracts to clients, negotiating terms and pricing to secure orders and contracts.Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, production, and logistics, to ensure timely delivery of products and services and resolve any customer issues or concerns.Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities within the steel and metal industries, providing insights and recommendations to support business growth.Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote company products and services and expand professional network.Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts, tracking key performance indicators and identifying areas for improvement.Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all sales and business activities.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.Proven experience in sales within the steel and metal industries, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets and building client relationships.Excellent knowledge of steel and metal products, manufacturing processes, and industry standards and specifications.Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to clients.Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers at all levels.Proactive and self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and driving revenue growth.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software for sales tracking and reporting.Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and competitive sales environment.Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and exceeding client expectations.Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects concurrently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
