Job Summary

The Asset Operation Engineer is an active member of a high-caliber team of operations experts, providing functional ownership of various aspects of Asset Operation. This role plays a critical part in driving manufacturing excellence by working with other team members globally to ensure high standards in plant performance. They also ensure operations discipline compliance and drive operational integrity maturity to the highest standards, utilizing state-of-the-art models and tools for operating petrochemical facilities globally, guided by manufacturing strategy plans.

Furthermore, the Asset Operation Engineer delivers knowledge sharing through specialized training programs to enhance the knowledge of site frontlines personnel. They retain operational knowledge by embedding learnings in relevant systems and supporting different assessment types. Technical support is extended globally to assure agility in handling critical cases and burning platforms. The Asset Operation Engineer provides expertise for critical RCAs, cold eye reviews, and other relevant processes.

Above all, they provide overarching support to the execution of manufacturing strategy objectives related to operations. This includes areas of expertise such as EHSS, reliable asset utilization, and operational cost optimization across all This Company sites globally. They achieve this through leveraging AO expertise, conducting advanced analysis, developing and deploying world-class practices, identifying improvement opportunities, and participating in projects and growth stages.

Additionally, they support T&I-related projects, sustainability initiatives, and digitalization solutions deployment, monitoring, and validation. They also support This Company programs and initiatives according to demand and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Expertise deployment for solutions & improvements related to plants operation in This Company assets globally

Advising and supporting plants in relation to the deployment, use, and maintenance of production means and techniques

Guaranteeing professional standards in relation to technological decisions by providing state-of-the-art knowledge during the entire lifecycle of the facilities from conceptual design to maintenance, operation, and end-of-life

Troubleshoot and solve acute problem situations with high business impact

Give advice and guidance regarding chronic technical problem resolution journey

Provide support to implement improvements in installations, methods, and operating procedures

Give operational advice regarding the deployment of T&I projects and external services to ensure the success of projects or services

Translate corporate requirements and legislation/regulations into technical guidelines to achieve corporate objectives

Support technical consultative committees and working groups (e.g., RCA)

Draw up policy proposals and advice reports of This Company facilities globally

Give advice, whether requested or not, regarding technical and/or tactical policy issues

Standardize resources, techniques, and procedures to magnify value creation

Organize task force teams for the implementation of standards and best practices

Contribute to monitoring the application of relevant technology (resources, techniques, and procedures) in production installations to optimize functionality, integrity, and availability

Issue and review all Best Practices, Technical Alerts, and High Learning Values related to operation of processes

Monitor operation and process PerKs and ensure sites are setting proper resolution plans to mitigate them

Support sites in new facilities commission and T&I project deployment

Work with a globally distributed team of operation experts and performance analysts to ensure common practices, resource utilization, networking, and knowledge sharing within different performance improvement teams. Improve high-potential talents, support succession planning, and cooperate with other team members through proper Networking & Knowledge management platforms.

Develop, organize, and maintain robust operating rhythms with sites to ensure ongoing drive for manufacturing excellence, through internal networks that include:

Identifying external technical developments relevant to This Company and initiating effective follow-up measures for deployment and use

Gathering and extracting essential elements of knowledge and insights relevant to This Company Manufacturing

Ensuring proper sharing of resources as part of governance and performance reporting mechanism driving assets operation through efficient stewardship reporting

Requirements:

This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

Holding Chemical Engineering certificate

Excellent knowledge of the RCA methodologies, and certified RCA leader

Strong Manufacturing Experience

Strong analytical skills

Strong process engineering skills

More than 15 years' experience in petrochemical industry in manufacturing with substantial exposure to operational, EHSS requirements, and technical activities.

Working knowledge and technical expertise in manufacturing work processes.

Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

Adequate knowledge and understanding of strategic thinking and planning frameworks

Proficient knowledge of EHSS standards

Extensive understanding of plant operations and maintenance

Good knowledge of petrochemical plants and processes

Experience in leading cross-functional projects related to assets operation, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with executive-level management

Leading change and change management skills

Proactive and strong customer-oriented mindset
