Wood Principal Process Engineer Opportunity
Wood has an opportunity for a Principal Process Engineer to join our team in Qatar on a staff basis. This is a key role within the Wood Doha office delivering across study, FEED, EPC and PMC scopes of work.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Executing project work in accordance with the project execution plan
Ensuring compliance with Wood and/or Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control within the man-hour, cost, and project schedule targets
Producing, reviewing, and ensuring the accuracy of detailed calculations, process engineering datasheets, and drawings
Supervising less experienced process engineers and serving as a line manager for process engineers within the Qatar office
Supporting recruitment, training, and development of process personnel
Remaining up-to-date with the latest technical developments in your fields of expertise
Providing technical solutions for specific project issues
Ensuring the delivery of challenging project and client targets
Following company standards and procedures on health, safety, environmental, and quality
Demonstrating appreciation of commercial and technical risks
Supporting opportunities for department and project improvement
Requirements:
Degree in Chemical Engineering
Minimum 15 years' experience in Oil & Gas post-graduation
Experience in a variety of projects and phases, including greenfield and brownfield, on and offshore
Self-motivated with excellent communication skills
Ability to impact and influence fellow workers
Demonstration of customer focus and ability to respond to customer needs
Analytical and innovation skills to manage new technology
Experience with process simulations using Aspentech Hysys
Experience with flow assurance software including OLGA and PIPENET
Experience with Aveva P&ID and/or Smartplant P&ID software
