Estimator

We are currently seeking a skilled Estimator to join a knowledgeable team at a leading Commercial Property Developer based in Northern Suburbs. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an individual with 2-4 years of experience in commercial or high-end residential construction to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct accurate and detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including material and labour costs, ensuring competitiveness and profitability. Prepare comprehensive tender documents, including BOQs (Bills of Quantities) and pricing schedules, in line with project specifications and deadlines. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop and manage project budgets, providing regular updates and cost reports as required. Source and negotiate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain competitive quotes and ensure cost-effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle. Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality or design integrity. : Conduct thorough risk assessments and mitigation strategies to anticipate and address potential cost variations and project challenges. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all cost estimates, contracts, and project-related correspondence in accordance with company standards and procedures. Collaborate closely with internal teams, including project management, design, and finance, to ensure alignment of cost estimates with project objectives and timelines. Qualifications and Experience:

Australian citizenship or permanent residency is essential. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in estimating roles within the commercial construction industry or high-end residential construction. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and industry best practices. Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., CostX, BuildSoft) and MS Office Suite. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders. Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
