Evaluating patients'medical histories to ensure the various medical imaging procedureswill not harm them.Suggesting alternativemedical imaging techniques, whennecessary.Informing patients about the medicalimaging process.Using devices such as computertomography (CT) scanners and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)machines.Performing or directing radiologystaff to carry out image-guided, diagnosticprocedures.Working with radiology labtechnicians to perfect imagequality.Interpreting the results fromdiagnostic imaging procedures to determinediagnoses.Communicating and discussing resultsand diagnoses with physicians.Compilingwritten reports of results anddiagnoses.Following medical protocols forresuscitation, bleeding, infection, or other emergency situations,when necessary.
