Assists the Assistant Director ofFacilities Management, Maintenance by developing departmentalpolicies and procedures for assigned areas of responsibility,establishing priorities for scheduled mechanical and electricalservices within the assigned area of responsibility, administeringpreventive maintenance programs for assigned facilities, inspectingfacility and utility systems to determine repair or replacementneeds within the assigned area of responsibility, and supervisingthe performance of emergency and routine maintenance on campusfacilities in the area of responsibility.Helps to maintain a safe campus environment by ensuring all FireProtection Systems such as fire panels, smoke/heat detectors,sprinkler systems, and pumps are maintained in accordance with theapplicable National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) standardsand ensuring all emergency generators/power systems are properlymaintained and operational at all times. Helpsto maintain an energy efficient campus environment by ensuring allenergy management systems (including utility meters) such asnetwork control modules (NCMs), network integration engines (NIEs),network automation engines (NEs), BACnet, and associated devicesare maintained in accordance with the applicable standards and thatall systems are operational at alltimes.
