Our client, a new money exchange company is looking for a General Manager to be based in Dubai . To comply with the regulations of the Central Bank of the UAE for licensing purposes, they are in need of appointing a qualified individual for this role. Job Responsibilities:

Manages the branch – money exchange business - Sound knowledge of all applicable Laws, Rules, Regulations, Notices and the Standards related to Exchange Business in the UAE. You will represent in UAE Central Bank on behalf of the company during the license process.

Operational Management:

Currency Exchange Operations: Oversee and manage day-to-day currency exchange operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with regulations.
Cash Management: Monitor and manage cash levels, ensuring adequate liquidity for daily operations while minimizing risks associated with cash handling.
Transaction Processing: Ensure accurate and timely processing of customer transactions, including buying and selling foreign currencies.

Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:

Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of local and international financial regulations and ensure that the branch operations comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC): Implement and enforce AML and KYC policies to prevent fraudulent activities and ensure the integrity of financial transactions.
Staff Management: Recruitment and Training: Recruit, train, and supervise branch staff to ensure a high level of competency and customer service.
Performance Evaluation: Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Customer Service:

Customer Relations: Maintain strong relationships with customers by ensuring a high level of customer service and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
Promotions and Marketing: Implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and promote additional services.

Financial Management:

Budgeting: Develop and manage the branch budget, ensuring financial goals are met and costs are controlled.
Profitability Analysis: Analyze financial performance and implement strategies to enhance the branch's profitability.

Security and Risk Management:

Security Protocols: Implement and monitor security measures to safeguard the branch against theft or fraudulent activities.
Risk Assessment: Assess and mitigate operational risks, including cybersecurity risks and fraud prevention.

Reporting:

Reporting to Headquarters: Provide regular reports to the headquarters or central office on branch performance, financial results, and other relevant metrics.

Technology and Systems Management:

Technology Integration: Ensure that the branch utilizes up-to-date technology for efficient and secure transactions.
Systems Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and functionality of financial systems and technology infrastructure.

Community Engagement:

Local Engagement: Participate in community events and engage with local businesses to enhance the branch's visibility and reputation. It's essential for a branch manager in the money exchange industry to have a comprehensive understanding of financial regulations, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Additionally, staying informed about market trends and technological advancements in the financial industry is crucial for effective branch management.

Minimum Qualification and Experience of the General Manager:

Licensed Person in possession of a Category A License:
A minimum of five (5) years of experience within any financial institution(s), of which at least two (2) years in senior management position(s), such as head of a core function, Manager in Charge, General Manager/CEO or member of the Board of Directors; and Sound knowledge of all applicable Laws, Rules, Regulations, Notices and the Standards related to Exchange Business in the UAE.
Must have the complete knowledge about the money exchange business and you will be attending the interview conducted by UAE central bank.
