Job Description
As the Strategy Manager, you will collaborate closely with the leadership team to enhance business performance through the strategic utilization of vertical synergies, optimization of operational efficiencies, active participation in transformative projects, and exploration of growth opportunities, including acquisitions and integrations. Additionally, you will provide crucial support to the executive team in formulating compelling business cases for significant capital expenditure projects. What you will be doing:- Serving as a catalyst for critical decision-making and strategic problem-solving, playing a pivotal role in shaping the direction of the organization.
- Cultivating and maintaining effective relationships with senior executives and stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration.
- Demonstrating thoughtful leadership by developing practical solutions to intricate analytical problems.
- Crafting and delivering compelling presentations that communicate key insights and recommendations clearly and concisely to senior executives.
- Collaborating across NPDL businesses to discern and address business needs, developing scalable solutions through advanced modeling, scenario analysis, and strategic recommendations.
- Constructing financial models to assess the financial impact of projects or investments, incorporating key assumptions, risk assessments, and macroeconomic drivers.
- Conducting valuation, risk analysis, and financial and operational due diligence to provide informed finance recommendations for capital expenditures and acquisitions.
- Utilizing statistical analysis on large and complex data sets to extract insights that enhance decision-making for the business.
- Synthesizing analyses into persuasive presentations supported by factual evidence for senior executives to make effective business decisions.
- Leading efforts to standardize processes and leverage best practices between business units, maximizing overall value for the company.
- Staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in the shipping industry, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the landscape.
Qualifications
Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in strategy, transformation, or FP&A, with at least two years collaborating with C-level leaders.
- Preferred background in a Management Consulting firm.
- Expertise in financial and business performance simulation and modeling.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts, and data consolidation.
- Excel VBA proficiency is desirable.
- Medium-level proficiency in PowerPoint and PowerBI.
