JOB OBJECTIVE: The Senior Project Manager, Media Strategy & Planning is responsible for managing the strategic development and execution of media campaigns tailored to the tourism industry, aligning them with DET’s overall marketing objectives. This pivotal role oversees the annual planning of media services, manages stakeholder interactions, coordinates with third-party agencies, and ensures campaigns are executed within budget. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Core Functional Responsibilities & Subject Matter Expertise

  • Manage and develop comprehensive media campaign strategies, from conception through execution, ensuring they meet the specific needs of the tourism industry and align with DET's overall marketing objectives.
  • Manage the development and detailing of annual media services management plans, incorporating strategic insights and budget considerations to support various media facets including international, local, and festival-specific media strategies.
  • Facilitate crucial meetings and interviews with internal stakeholders and business owners to pinpoint marketing challenges and opportunities within the tourism sector.
  • Generate and lead the development of innovative media campaign ideas, derived from stakeholder input, tailored to enhance customer engagement and market reach.
  • Manage the selection and relationship management of third-party providers and agencies, ensuring that media strategies are precisely targeted to organizational needs and are executed flawlessly.
  • Supervise the approval processes for media strategy proposals and implementation plans, ensuring they meet DET's standards and objectives.
  • Manage the generation and analysis of campaign performance reports, identify discrepancies through root cause analyses, and provide actionable insights to enhance future campaigns.
  • Conduct post-performance analysis, synthesizing results and presenting comprehensive reviews to senior management to guide strategic decisions.
  • Provide key inputs during the budgeting process for media campaigns, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum campaign effectiveness and return on investment.
  • Manage the conducting of sophisticated travel demand reporting and sentiment analysis to inform strategic adjustments and resource allocation.
  • Manage advanced analytical projects, including predictive analytics in the dedicated analytics center, focusing on occupancy trends, market shifts, and demand forecasting to support stakeholders in hospitality and aviation
  • Evaluate the impact of various marketing initiatives across channels, managing detailed analytics for regional campaigns and special projects.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of analysts and strategists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the department.
  • Ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to media strategy and customer insights across marketing, PR, and digital departments.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Media Studies, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is highly preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as the Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Marketing Management Professional (CMMP), Digital Marketing Certificate; are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 11 years of experience in media strategy and planning, preferably within the tourism or a closely related industry.
  • Extensive experience in crafting and executing tailored media strategies that leverage both traditional and digital platforms to maximize market penetration and engagement.
  • Proven track record of developing and managing comprehensive media campaigns from conception to execution, demonstrating a deep understanding of the unique needs of the tourism industry.
  • Experience in leading cross-departmental projects, ensuring cohesive strategy implementation and effectiveness across all marketing channels.
  • Experience in integrating strategic insights into media planning and execution to effectively reach target audiences.
  • Strong experience in managing relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies, ensuring that media strategies and campaigns are aligned with organizational goals.
  • Proven skills in negotiating with and managing third-party providers to deliver on media strategy requirements.
  • Experience in managing budgets for large-scale media campaigns, ensuring optimal resource allocation and maximizing ROI.
  • In-depth experience with marketing analytics tools and methodologies to drive data-oriented decision-making processes.
  • Proven capability to utilize advanced analytics for market segmentation, targeting, and positioning to effectively tailor media campaigns.
  • Experience with emerging media technologies and platforms, adapting strategies to include innovative media formats and channels.
