The Purchase Officer plays a crucial role in the procurement process within the food and beverage production and FMCG sectors. This position involves managing the purchasing of goods and services, ensuring that the company maintains optimal inventory levels while adhering to budget constraints. The ideal candidate will possess a keen understanding of market trends, supplier relationships, and negotiation tactics to secure the best prices and quality for the organization. This role requires a proactive approach to sourcing and purchasing, with a focus on building strong partnerships with suppliers to enhance the overall supply chain efficiency. Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their offerings.
  2. Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
  3. Monitor inventory levels and place orders to maintain stock availability.
  4. Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and requirements.
  5. Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong relationships for future procurement.
  6. Prepare and maintain accurate purchasing records and reports.
  7. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all purchasing activities.
  8. Assist in the development of purchasing strategies to optimize costs and efficiency.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions that may impact purchasing decisions.
  10. Resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or supplier performance promptly.
