We are looking to hire Male Diver for our client's private company in Abu Dhabi. Work below the surface of the water, using scuba gear to inspect, repair, remove, or install equipment and structures. May use a variety of power and hand tools, such as drills, sledgehammers, torches, and welding equipment. Key Accountabilities:

  1. Check and maintain diving equipment such as helmets, masks, air tanks, harnesses, and gauges.
  2. Communicate with workers on the surface while underwater, using signal lines or telephones.
  3. Cut and weld steel, using underwater welding equipment, jigs, and supports.
  4. Descend into the water with the aid of diver helpers, using scuba gear or diving suits.
  5. Install, inspect, clean, and repair piping and valves.
  6. Obtain information about diving tasks and environmental conditions.
  7. Operate underwater video, sonar, recording, and related equipment to investigate underwater structures or marine life.
  8. Perform activities related to underwater search and rescue, salvage, recovery, and clean-up operations.
  9. Set or guide placement of pilings and sandbags to provide support for structures such as docks, bridges, cofferdams, and platforms.
  10. Take appropriate safety precautions, such as monitoring dive lengths and depths, and registering with authorities before diving expeditions begin.
  11. Take test samples and photographs to assess the condition of vessels and structures.
  12. Remove rubbish and pollution from the sea.
  13. Cultivate and harvest marine species and perform routine work on fish farms.
  14. Set up dive sites for recreational instruction.
  15. Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications: Minimum years of experience:
  • 3 years as watchman.
Skills and competencies:
  • Good communication in English; Arabic will be an added advantage.
  • Commercial diving certification from an accredited program.
  • OSHA 10 or 30-hour construction safety training.
