Job Description

Job Summary: The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing complex and high-value steel structure projects from inception to completion. This role focuses on ensuring the successful delivery of projects within scope, budget, and schedule while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The Senior Project Manager also supports the department head by mentoring junior team members and driving process improvements. Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:
- Plan, execute, and finalize large-scale steel structure projects while adhering to company goals and client expectations.
- Take ownership of the full project lifecycle, including design coordination, procurement, production, and installation phases.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Resource Management:
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, production, and procurement) to ensure resource availability and efficient allocation.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers to meet project requirements.
Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify potential risks and issues, create mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve problems.
- Manage change requests and adjust project plans accordingly.
Client & Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded.
- Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and solutions.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Ensure all project deliverables comply with industry standards, client specifications, and safety regulations.
- Conduct quality checks during different project phases to uphold excellence.
Mentorship & Process Improvement:
- Mentor and guide junior project managers and coordinators.
- Contribute to developing best practices, tools, and techniques for project execution and management.

Core Skills & Competencies:

Technical Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of steel structures, pre-engineered buildings, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and design tools like AutoCAD or Tekla.
Project Management Excellence:
- Strong skills in planning, cost control, resource management, and risk mitigation.
- Experience managing multiple large-scale projects with overlapping deadlines.
Leadership & Decision-Making:
- Ability to lead diverse teams and ensure alignment toward project goals.
- Adept at making decisions under pressure while considering technical, financial, and client aspects.
Communication & Negotiation:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Skilled in negotiation, ensuring favorable terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
Problem Solving & Analysis:
- Strong analytical skills to identify and solve project-related challenges effectively.
Time Management & Multitasking:
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Civil, Structural, or Industrial) or a related field.
PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification is highly desirable.
7-10 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years handling complex steel structure or construction projects.
Familiarity with local building codes, standards, and regulations (specific to Saudi Arabia if applicable).
