Role overview To function as the logistics Coordinator for Calo, to oversee and facilitate the food delivery operations of our company. You will be the one to coordinate personnel and processes to achieve the effective distribution of prepared meals. The ideal candidate has great communication and negotiation skills. They are also well-versed in supply management principles and practices. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency. Main Responsibilities
- Maintain the day-to-day operations of the delivery team and delivery vans.
- Monitor tracking progress and set up a formal line of communication with the management.
- Make hiring recommendations and provide ongoing training for drivers.
- Conduct inspection of all loading docks to ensure the dispatch and loading areas are clean and organized.
- Route daily deliveries to guarantee the driver reaches all destinations at the scheduled time.
- Record daily work assignments and maintain daily attendance files for all drivers and helpers.
- Function as the point of contact between the Customer Experience team and the delivery drivers.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of previous proven experience as a logistics coordinator or similar position.
- Must have fleet management experience and be able to manage multiple vehicles.
- Familiar with optimizing drivers' routes using technology.
- The candidate must have great record-keeping abilities and a customer-oriented approach.
- Must have logistics experience in Qatar.
- Must be currently present in Qatar.
- Must be a proficient communicator in English.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience in customer service will be appreciated.
- Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes.
- Ability to communicate in multiple languages is a major plus.
- Experience with large, well-known, or international companies is a major advantage.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers.
- Devise ways to optimize logistics procedures.
- Ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency.
