Transafe Logistics LLC , part of Mazrui International - Trading Division is hiring an Assistant Operations Manager to lead a team of Transportation Supervisors and Operations Executives for the efficient scheduling of deliveries. Location - Dubai, UAE The ideal candidate must have experience in managing a fleet of trucks and trailers transporting dangerous goods within UAE and cross-border. Key Responsibilities
- Managing the team for Transportation supervisor & Operations Executive
- Maintaining vehicles for deliveries.
- Developing efficient driver schedules to maximize profits.
- Manage cross border operations along with the team to make sure full utilization of fleet and rotation.
- Managing drivers so they adhere to strict schedules.
- Finding ways to cut costs and maximize profits from maintenance activities , and efficient fuel consumption.
- Scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.
- Make sure all PO s , invoices done on time without failure and share with customers / suppliers and make sure data updating in Oracle.
- Upon the Completion of the maintenance work, do GRN, sent the invoice for booking and inform operations team to Close the Job
- Payment follow up with the customers.
- Prepare outstanding Statement and send to the customer
- Follow up with suppliers for the invoices for the work done.
- Monitoring driver behaviour and ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Take on the responsibility for efficient and scheduling of deliveries proper routing of trucks, and take telephone orders and other information related to delivery of products
- Updates and monitor driver’s location
- Sending daily , weekly & monthly reports , make sure accuracy of monthly closing reports.
- Leading driving hiring process to select best drivers.
- Responsible about all assets of UAE branch and allocations of it based on customers’ needs
- Fully control of tires management of whole fleet.
- Guiding drivers for offloading to different destinations and assist for the documents needed
- Registration process for trucks/trailers and follow up it with government authorities.
- set-up and maintain all driver files
- Follow company policies and procedures and recommendations on lease extensions
- Other duties as assigned by the business unit manager
- QHSE Management & Support
- Ensure achievement of Safety Objectives
- Take part as applicable in Mock Drills and trainings related to RTS
- Participating in Root Cause and implementing corrective action as required
- Organize and maintain computerized records for the FMS.
- Carry out system administration tasks as required for Oracle and the FMS to manage fleet.
- Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Logistics/supply chain or Accounting.
- 5+ years in a logistics role in the transportation industry.
- Knowledge of transportation of dangerous gasses across land
- Cross borders regulation experience.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
