Roles and Responsibilities Manage the prequalification of suppliers (consultants, contractors, goods and service providers) based on area of expertise and other set criteria. Review market research reports for suppliers, technologies and innovation specific to strategic categories at Aldar. Develop and implement procurement planning on quarterly and yearly basis for strategic items and establish category governance (through coordination with the procurement teams). Develop strategic supplier's performance framework process. Spearhead contractor's performance evaluation automation process. Deploy innovation procurement process with coordination with the innovation team to promote innovation and investment with start-ups. Maintain a database of pre-qualified suppliers at ALDAR system with stakeholders (PQ Committee). Act as focal point for coordination with local authorities such as UAE Courts, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Department of Economic Development and other public entities in the UAE.Qualifications & ExperienceRELATED YEAR OF EXPERIENCEMin of 8+ years of experience in leading a procurement/sourcing function.Field Of ExperienceReal estate company or contractor with annual revenue of at least AED 2 billion.Technical And Interpersonal Skills Good understanding of site-based aspects of construction projects. IT proficient, with extensive experience working with Excel, Database and ERP systems (SAPAriba / Oracle). Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and achieve tight deadlines. Commitment to Professional Ethics, Integrity and Confidentiality. Project management and planning skills. Strong strategic thinking.QUALIFICATIONBachelor degree in engineering, Masters preferred.CIPS qualification or any equivalent procurement/supply chain certification.Desired Candidate Profile Sourcing Strategy Development: Creating and implementing sourcing strategies aligned with organizational goals to maximize efficiency and savings. Supplier Management: Identifying, evaluating, and managing relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance. Cost Analysis: Conducting thorough cost analyses and negotiations to secure favorable terms and pricing. Market Research: Staying informed about market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for sourcing improvements. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with other departments (e.g., finance, operations, and legal) to align sourcing initiatives with business needs. Risk Management: Assessing and mitigating risks associated with supply chain disruptions and vendor relationships. Performance Metrics: Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sourcing effectiveness and report on performance to senior leadership. Team Leadership: Leading and mentoring the sourcing team to foster professional development and drive results. Contract Management: Overseeing the negotiation and management of contracts to ensure compliance and value delivery. Sustainability Initiatives: Incorporating sustainability practices into sourcing strategies to align with corporate social responsibility goals.Skills Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to develop long-term sourcing strategies. Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills to secure advantageous contracts. Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing data to inform sourcing decisions. Communication Skills: Effective communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders. Project Management: Strong project management abilities to oversee multiple initiatives. Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of market dynamics and sourcing trends. Leadership: Proven leadership skills to guide and motivate teams. Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of budgeting and financial analysis. Adaptability: Ability to respond to changing market conditions and business priorities. Risk Management: Knowledge of risk management practices in sourcing.
