Sales Specialist, Analytical Inspection (ANI)/ X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) The Sales Specialist, ANI/XRF is responsible for managing sales along the East coast of Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands, focusing on industrial sales including geoscience. The role aims to achieve sales targets, provide exceptional customer support, and drive business growth. Key Responsibilities Sales and Territory Management
- Achieve sales results from the territory versus monthly budgets for ANI products.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the ANI product range, including operation and application.
- Prepare and execute weekly sales visit plans, ensuring the calendar includes at least three weeks of future activities.
- Maintain an updated territory plan and a detailed understanding of the customer base.
- Continuously prospect for new business opportunities to expand market presence.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with customers, providing tailored solutions and exceptional support.
- Follow up on leads promptly, including those generated from the website, conferences, and marketing activities.
- Conduct product demonstrations and offer technical guidance to customers.
- Collaborate with Customer Service and Accounts teams to resolve customer queries, manage credits, and assist with debt collection when required.
- Record all customer interactions, opportunities, demonstrations, and quotes in the CRM system.
- Prepare and present activity reports, sales forecasts, and territory performance analyses.
- Work closely with Marketing to align sales efforts with promotional activities and market opportunities.
- Coordinate with Product Specialists/Managers and logistics teams to ensure the timely availability of products for demonstrations or customer needs.
- Attend and actively contribute to training programs, trade shows, and industry events.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements.
- Provide feedback to the Product Management team on market requirements and product improvements.
- Enhance personal sales and technical skills to optimize productivity.
- Possess Diploma/Degree in Chemistry, Physics, or equivalent scientific discipline.
- Strong technical background in engineering, technical sales, or a related field.
- Proven success in a sales role, with a minimum of three years of field sales experience preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present logical and persuasive arguments.
- Self-motivated, achievement-oriented, and tenacious in meeting goals.
- Ability to negotiate effectively at all levels and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools.
- Experience in industrial sales, particularly in geoscience sales, mining, or analytical inspection markets.
- Familiarity with X-Ray Fluorescence/Diffraction Technology or similar analytical instruments is highly desirable.
