Summary Job Description As a Bartender, you play a vital role in ensuring guest satisfaction within the outlet by providing exceptional beverage preparation and delivery service. Your responsibilities include engaging with guests in a friendly and attentive manner, maintaining beverage inventory, and offering expert guidance on beverage selections. Additionally, you will educate both team members and guests on various beverages and preparation methods, enhancing the overall beverage experience. Responsibilities Provide attentive and personalized service to guests, ensuring a memorable experience. Greet guests warmly, accurately take beverage orders, and offer recommendations. Prepare and serve beverages according to prescribed standards and sequence. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the beverage list and respond to guest inquiries. Manage beverage inventory, ensuring par stocks are maintained and orders are placed as needed. Provide guidance to guests on beverage selections, based on preferences. Conduct tastings, events, and promotions to enhance the guest experience. Educate team members on beverage nuances, origins, and preparation methods through regular training sessions. Implement quality control procedures for storage and serving of beverages. Monitor inventory levels and ensure freshness of stock. Collaborate with kitchen staff to pair beverages with food items, enhancing overall dining experiences. Work closely with management to develop and implement beverage-related promotions and events. Stay informed about industry trends, new beverage varieties, and emerging cultures. Continuously update knowledge to provide guests with the latest and most enjoyable beverage experiences. Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless service and prompt delivery of orders. Maintain cleanliness standards in the outlet by performing cleaning duties as directed. Handle guest complaints promptly and effectively or escalate them to supervisors when necessary. Qualifications Experience/Certificates/Education Previous experience in a similar role internationally or a minimum of 2 years in luxury hotel or high-end restaurant setting. In-depth knowledge of beverages, their origins, and preparation methods. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Friendly and hospitable approach, prioritizing customer satisfaction. Proficiency in problem-solving and handling guest inquiries with tact. Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Knowledge of inventory management and billing procedures. Good oral proficiency in English language. Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. A passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Ability to work effectively and contribute in a team. Self-motivated and energetic. Maintain a clean, tidy and well-groomed appearance consistently.
