Senior Design Mechanical & Plumbing Engineer (M/F)Full-timeLet's SOCOTEC your potential!Joining SOCOTEC means joining an active and ambitious community of 11,000 experts, players in the city of tomorrow, ready to take up new challenges in the field of Testing, Inspection and Certification in Construction, Infrastructure and Industry.We provide risk management and technical consulting services and support our clients throughout the asset cycle.Our objectives are to ensure their compliance, extend their lifespan, improve their environmental performance and guarantee the safety of people.Description of the RoleProvide Mechanical & Plumbing engineering services, including design and design review services, for building and infrastructure projects in the UAE and internationally.Attend site visits and meetings as required by the project and the clients.Identify business opportunities for SOCOTEC and work closely with the Commercial team to develop these.Assist the Commercial team with the preparation of fee proposals and quotations.Liaise with Technical Manager and Accountant for reporting and invoicing.Assist Technical Manager, Accountant and Managing Director in analyzing the financial data associated with your projects.Duties and ResponsibilitiesBe responsible for the delivery of the highest quality of work to SOCOTEC clients.Deliver services within the timeframes dictated by the client and SOCOTEC.Ensure that work is carried out as per the relevant instructions.Consistently exceed clients' expectations.Comply with SOCOTEC's group policies and procedures.Achieve and maintain the highest qualification levels determined by SOCOTEC for the relevant consultancy disciplines.Take an active and full role in the quality assurance of services delivered by SOCOTEC through document review, supervision, audit and assessment of other staff members, providing support and leadership to the engineering team.Stand out as a good example to all staff.Undertake such other responsibilities that might reasonably be required by the company.Ensure the highest standards of administration.Health and Safety ResponsibilitiesComply with Socotec International and client quality, safety and environmental systems and procedures at all times.Ensure that all accidents, incidents, near misses or hazards are immediately reported and relevant paperwork is completed.Work within the team to develop a culture where everyone embraces, upholds and accepts responsibility for a safe workplace, a healthy working life, a sustainable environment and the right and duty to intervene.Minimum RequirementsBachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering.10 years' experience, including 4 years in Abu Dhabi.Experienced in international codes and local regulations.Experienced in Mechanical Design and Design Review in the building construction industry.Fluent in both Arabic and English.BenefitsAttractive salary and bonus with annual revision.Cooperation with colleagues around the world in a leading global group.Strong team spirit in an entrepreneurial environment of a growing company.People values, social responsibility and sustainability.Global development and relocation opportunities for high performers.Opportunities for self-development and career advancement.
